This collection was inspired by the 18th century Rococo Period during the reign of Marie Antoinette. In this project, I focused on the lightness of colors used during this period and choice five pastel colors. which were light pink, medium pink, blue, grey, and dark green. For the garments I focused on the puffiness throughout the sleeves and the fullness in the skirts which were, in that period, worn with a hoop skirt. lastly, focused on the tightness in the waist by creating different variations of corsets. Pictured below are six prints I created for this collection that referenced traditional prints embroidered on the fabrics
